Baptism
"Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission..." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1213)
Infant Baptism
Parents wishing to have their child/children baptized should be registered with the parish for at least six months before the anticipated baptism.
Please call the parish office to make reservations to enroll in the parental preparation program. This program consists of one class to be attended by both the child's parents and godparents. The program offers an opportunity to understand more fully the choice they are making and the responsibilities they are undertaking in sharing the gift of faith with their children. Parents who have attended the preparation program may call the parish office to make an appointment for the baptism.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."
--Matthew 28:19-20
